1.General Terms

(Big Bright Dreams Pty Ltd trading as Art on Canvas for Kids / STEM Champion)

Introduction / Purpose

Big Bright Dreams is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where children can explore their creativity and curiosity through art and STEM activities.
These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure the smooth, safe, and fair running of our programs for all students, families, and staff. By enrolling your child, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Student Behaviour & Conduct

  • Students are expected to behave respectfully, safely, and cooperatively at all times.
  • Disrespectful, harmful, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Parents will be contacted if the program is not suitable for a child.
  • If a student is dismissed for misconduct, no refund will be given.
  • If a student is dismissed due to a genuine medical or psychological unsuitability, a refund for the unused portion of fees may be provided.

Parent Responsibilities

  • Parents must ensure children are dropped off and collected promptly at the stated program times.
  • Repeated late collection may result in cancellation of enrolment.
  • We are only responsible for students during scheduled class times. Supervision outside these times is the parent’s responsibility.

Attendance & Participation

  • No allowances, refunds, or credits are provided for late arrivals or early departures.
  • Parents must consult a doctor regarding any past or present medical conditions that may affect their child’s participation.
  • Parents must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs during enrolment. We accept no responsibility for incidents arising from non-disclosure.

Safety, Medical & Liability

  • Participation in art and STEM activities involves some inherent risks.
  • Parents accept these risks and agree to release Big Bright Dreams, its staff, and contractors from any claims arising from injuries, accidents, or medical issues.
  • Our staff may administer basic first aid if required. In an emergency, parents authorise us to arrange medical treatment (including ambulance transport) at the parent’s cost.
  • We accept no responsibility for medical expenses incurred.

Personal Belongings

  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
  • Valuables such as money, jewellery, or electronics should not be brought to class.

Intellectual Property

  • All course materials are protected by copyright and remain the property of Big Bright Dreams or its licensors.
  • Materials are for the enrolled student’s personal use only and may not be copied, shared, or distributed without permission.
  • Use of our names, logos, or branding without written consent is strictly prohibited.

Photography & Media Release

  • Photos or videos may be taken during classes for educational or promotional purposes.
  • Parents who do not wish their child to be included must notify us in writing before the start of the program.

Indemnity

By enrolling your child, you agree to indemnify (protect), defend, and hold harmless Big Bright Dreams Pty Ltd (trading as Art on Canvas for Kids / STEM Champion), along with its staff, contractors, and representatives, against any claims, damages, liabilities, or costs (including legal fees) that arise from:

  • your child’s participation in the program,
  • your breach of these Terms & Conditions, or
  • any infringement of intellectual property rights.
  • We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will apply to all enrolments.
  • Our maximum liability is limited to the program fees paid.
  • Disputes will be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
  • These Terms & Conditions form the entire agreement between parents and Big Bright Dreams.

2.Enrolment and Cancellation Policy

Enrolment & Payment

  • Enrolment is confirmed only once both registration and payment are received.
  • Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and must be renewed each term.
  • All fees must be paid in full before the start of the program.
  • Fees cover program participation only. Additional charges (e.g. taxes, service fees, or extras) may apply.
  • We are not responsible for incidents involving children who are not officially enrolled.

Cancellations & Program Changes

  • If we cancel or reschedule a program, notice will be given as soon as possible.
  • Refunds or credits will be offered for fees paid, but we are not liable for additional costs (such as travel or personal expenses).

We are not responsible for cancellations caused by events outside our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or venue closures. Where possible, alternative arrangements (such as online delivery or credits) will be provided.
